Where this started
Infrasec was founded in 2002 as an IT security company and has provided VAT compliance services in Sweden since 2010. Over that time it became the largest provider of cloud-based VAT solutions for POS systems in the country, and the first vendor certified against Skatteverket's current SKVFS 2020:9 standard.
That history is why the numbers hold up: this isn't a new entrant's first attempt at Swedish fiscalization, it's over a decade of production experience with the country's tax authority.

The fiskaly chapter
In late 2025, Infrasec Sweden AB was acquired by fiskaly GmbH, a European provider of cloud-based fiscalization and VAT compliance solutions active in Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Portugal and France, serving more than a million points of sale.
Practically, this means the Swedish product and Stockholm team you'd be working with haven't changed — but if you ever need to operate in another European market, you're now one conversation away from the same kind of coverage there too. More on expanding to Europe →

Who you'll work with
The Stockholm team behind SIGN SE combines Skatteverket-specific compliance expertise with the engineering background to run infrastructure at national scale — the same team that's answered SKV compliance questions for POS vendors for years, not a new support desk reading from a script.

Frequently asked questions
Both, in practice. Infrasec Sweden AB is now part of fiskaly, and the product is branded SIGN SE, but it's the same team and the same certified infrastructure that's been running since 2010.
No — existing Infrasec customers keep their setup as-is. The acquisition adds the option to expand into other European markets through the same relationship, it doesn't require anyone to change anything.
