
New VP of People: Meet Michael Peter

We’re thrilled to welcome Michael Peter as our new VP of People, bringing with him a wealth of experience in scaling organizations through strategic and human-centered People practices.
We sat down with Michael to learn more about his background, what drew him to fiskaly, and his vision for evolving our culture as we grow.
Michael, welcome to fiskaly! Can you briefly tell us about your background and what drew you to join fiskaly as VP of People?
Before joining fiskaly, I’ve been supporting startups and scale-ups in building thriving cultures that blend transparency, accountability, and fairness. Leveraging my expertise in operations, talent management, and innovative HR tech solutions, I help organizations scale efficiently while staying true to their values.
My passion lies in empowering teams through AI-driven insights and practical strategies that transform talent and performance management into strategic advantages.
Were there particular aspects of the company’s mission or culture that resonated with you?
What drew me to fiskaly is the combination of a people-first mindset and an opportunity to shape an industry. I was impressed by the team’s cultural diversity and openness and by a mission I can get behind. Add in the chance to shape People strategy for a fast-growing scale-up that values transparency and experimentation, and the decision felt natural.
What are your main goals as VP of People in the short and long term?
My goal, together with the team, is to align our People strategy with the overall business strategy. Only if we all push in the same direction can we be successful. To achieve that we will strengthen our employee value proposition and provide space for people to connect and grow..
How do you envision supporting and evolving fiskaly’s culture as we grow?
Culture isn’t a set of posters on the wall—it’s a living system that has to expand and adapt as fast as our services do. My north star is the belief that trust grows when People come together, so every People-team initiative will be designed to deepen connection.
What are some key focus areas you want to work on with the team?
Together with the teams we will identify areas to support personal and professional growth. This will span from hiring top talents, ensure transparency and growth through continuous performance management, reward fairly and recognize top performance. This will happen in close collaboration with the departments and other stakeholders.
